JPSC 2011 Results: whats wrong @ sindri?   3 comments

Riddled with corruption, the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) assured the prospective candidates of correcting the anomalies in questions and their answers and published a corrected model answer sheet. But even the so-called corrected model has many discrepancies and candidates, who could not make it to the written test, are blaming the authorities for deliberately doing it for favouring the candidates of their choice.
If the experts of the JPSC are to be believed, the governor is the chairman of the state civil services is a true option (answer of Q no 25 in set C of political science paper) and the headquarters of G-15 is in New Delhi and not Geneva ( answer to Q no 84 in the same set).

Although Karl Marx found the state to be an instrument of capitalists to exploit the working class, the JPSC experts feel otherwise that according to Marx, the state came into being to end exploitation of the poor (answer to Q no 62 in the same set).

According to a candidate, there are more than half a dozen answers in the model answer sheet that are wrong. According to him, while it is an established fact that C Wright Mills coined the term “elite power”, the JPSC answer sheet says it is V Pareto who did it which is wrong. Similarly, the answers of question nos. 18 and 69 are also wrong, he added.

Though the results of the fourth state civil services exams are out, candidates who could not make it are finding it difficult to digest the irregularities and are planning to take legal recourse for scraping the results. Former chairman and many other members of the commission are already behind bars for allegedly committing mass irregularities to favour the candidates of their choice and their relatives.

JPSC controller of examinations Bal Mukund Jha said the candidates should have intimated the irregularities in the revised answer sheets to the commission as the commission is open to redressal of grievances.

“If any such complaints come to us, we will certainly refer it to experts on the panel of the commission,” he said.

Told about the wrong answers, he said though the responsibility of revising the answers was given to a renowned teacher of the state. “Even if we know it, we can’t do it on our own. It has to be referred to the experts,” he added. courtesy: TOI

  1. Hi folks, – stumbled upon your current internet page by accident when wandering around the web this afternoon, and pleased that I did! I do like the design and tones, but I should point out that I’m having difficulties when it loads. I’m using WaMCom 1.3 web browser for mac, and the top panel fails to align properly. i’m pretty sure I’ve employed exactly the same layout on a company’s web site, but the menu seems fine on mine. I imagine the mistake is at my end & maybe it is time to change for a better one!

  2. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.

  3. This is 4th P.T exam in 11 years and unfortunately none of exams were fair, If JPSC is unable to conduct the machinery than he must recommend the UPSC to take over the State Commission according to the constitutional provision. Otherwise the day is not so far when the JPSC building will be ablazed byb the commission aspirants.
